Danny Orr headlines EAC 8 card in rematch vs. Clovis Hancock

1959960_972679142758241_3450138860502002460_nLAKE JACKSON, TX – CDM Promotions returns to Brazoria County for the second time this Saturday with Elite Amateur Combat 8. The promotion was last in the area this past December when they hosted Brazoria county’s first ever MMA event. EAC 7 packed the Lonestar Ranch in Angleton. Now Reynaldo Rueda and crew are hoping to duplicate and grow upon that success by bringing EAC 8 to a larger venue, Lake Jackson’s Brazosport College.

Looking at the EAC 8 fight card, local fight fans should be comforted by a familiar name right at the top with Lake Jackson resident Danny Orr (5-0) headlining the card opposite fellow Southeast Houston’s Clovis Hancock (2-2). The two actually fought before at Legacy Amateur Series 16 this past July with Orr winning the LAM middleweight title by close split decision. Not one to settle for a loss, Clovis immediately called for a rematch and it’s one Orr will happily oblige him with. Given the competitive nature of their last bout, fans should once again be in for a treat this second time around.

The co-main event of the evening features fast-rising Luke Crawford (3-0) taking on fellow undefeated fighter Jaime Deleon (2-0). After debuting just this past December Luke has already proven himself to be a physical specimen and a competent striker. Jaime has been more of a submission artist and has 2 wins by RNC in his first 2 bouts. Somebody’s “0” has to go in this one so we’ll see which prospect to watch closer moving forward follow the results of this bout.

As for the rest of EAC 8, it features a bevy of Houston area fighters, including CDM’s own Royala Smith, ammy vet Eric “The Monster” Thompson, former Cage Combat title contender Garvens Brun and a host of others.

See the entire card planned for EAC 8 this Saturday below:
