Edward Longoria, Cameron Graves and Fabian Galavez pick up title belts in North Houston
In the main event of the evening Tru Bloodline rep Edward Longoria won by third round submission over GB North Houston’s Jake Heffernan. The win brings the 23 year old Longoria’s record up to 6-4-1 overall and brought him his second amateur belt. No word yet on turning pro from him but he does have another title bout lined up against Royala Smith for CDM Promotion’s EAC 6 this coming November.
Next up in title action was Team Tooke’s own Cameron Graves taking on 4OZ Fight Club’s Kyle Villarreal with the 145 belt on the line. This site has mentioned Graves before as a ‘blue chip prospect’ due to his advanced grappling acumen coupled with his ever-improving striking. He proved that status once again with a hard fought win in this one to earn his first amateur belt.
Elsewhere at Cage Combat 16 Luke Crawford TKO’d brash Houston local Clarence Brown to pick up his third straight win while other prospects like Matthew Longoria, Reshal Malik, and Tony Nguyen won out as well.
