Twenty Four Seven Entertainment brings another exciting MMA double header for Midland fight fans

 

This Saturday, fight fans in Midland, Texas will experience a taste of tyranny. However, this tyranny will be neither cruel nor oppressive for MMA fans as 24/7 Entertainment 17 – Tyranny will be presented this Saturday in Midland, Texas at The Midland Center. 24/7 Entertainment 17 – Tyranny features some of the most notable west Texas fighters coming together to do battle against each other with fights such as Evan Martinez vs. Brandon Ruiz, Luis Luna vs. Christopher Brooks, and Ramiro Huerta vs. Xavier Siller. 24/7 Entertainment 17 – Tyranny is part of a double-header as the amateur show, 24/7 Entertainment XIV – Injustice, will be presented earlier Saturday.

“This will be a great card,”24/7 Entertainment promoter Fabian Butler said. “Starting from the main event, Martinez vs. Ruiz. That will be a good fight. Luna vs. Brooks, Huerta vs. Delarosa, and Huerta vs. Siller. The card is stacked.”

 

24/7 Entertainment 17: Tyranny – Preview and Predictions

 

135 lbs.: Evan Martinez (3-0) vs. Brandon Ruiz (3-1) * TITLE

The main event will be a bantamweight title fight featuring Evan Martinez, an undefeated fighter from Octagon MMA facing Brandon Ruiz, a fighter from Dallas. Both fighters have three wins each. Ruiz’s lone loss came to Legacy Fighting Championship veteran, Cody Williams. All three of Ruiz’s victories have been stoppages in the first, two by submission and one by TKO. Martinez has two finishes of his own; both by submission and one split decision win. This is the first time both fighters will fight this year.

PREDICITION: Evan Martinez wins by split decision. 

 

155 lbs.: Luis Luna (9-4) vs. Christopher Brooks (6-8)

Christopher Brooks is looking to turn around his career after three straight losses. He has a tough task with Luis Luna standing across from him. Luna is riding a two-fight win streak with his last fight ending in TKO. Expect Luna to take advantage of Brooks’ lack of submission defense.

PREDICTION: Luis Luna wins by submission in the second round.

 

135 lbs.: Angel Huerta (7-2) vs. Javier Siller (4-1)

Angel Huerta is taking his first fight away from Legacy Fighting Championship since his second professional fight. He is looking to rebound from a first round submission title loss to Matthew Hobar at Legacy Fighting Championship 21. Javier Siller is looking to keep his two-fight win streak alive against Huerta. Whoever wins this fight can begin pushing for a title fight against the winner of Ruiz and Martinez.

PREDICTION: Angel Huerta wins by TKO in the third round.

 

125 lbs.: Montana Stewart  (0-0) vs. Jazmin Quezada (1-3)

Genesis Jiu-Jitsu’s Montana Stewart is making her highly anticipated debut. After skipping the amateur level, Stewart finds herself fighting Jazmin Quezada. Quezada has one lone submission victory and three losses, two by submission. With Stewarts Jiu-Jistu ability, expect Stewart to take this one down to the ground, open Quezada up with some ground-and-pound, and then immediately aim for a submission.

PREDICTION: Montana Stewart wins by submission in the first round.

 

170 lbs.: Richard Bailey (1-2) vs. Bahaiz Wilson (0-1)

Richard Bailey is aiming to even out his record against Bahaiz Wilson, a fighter searching for his first professional win. Bailey has been on a carnival ride since turning pro dropping his debut fight, winning his second fight, and then most recently losing his third fight. After winning his first five amateur fights, Wilson dropped two straight before becoming pro eventually losing his debut as well.

PREDICTION: Richard Bailey wins by unanimous decision.

 

135 lbs.: Mark Delarosa (0-0) vs. Marcus Huerta (0-0)

Mark Delarosa is a Genesis Jiu-Jitsu product making his professional debut against Marcus Huerta, another debuting fighter. Both fighters had perfect amateur records and expect to bring that momentum to the professional level.

PREDICTION: Mark Delarosa wins by split decision.

 

130 lbs.: Victor Dominguez (4-2) vs. Paco Castillo (5-19)

Fighting out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Victor Dominguez is aiming to get back to the winners circle after dropping his last fight to Tim Elliott. His opponent, Paco Castillo is taking his 25th fight since 2008. Quite the veteran Paco is. Dominguez has two wins by submission, excluding his submission by strikes victory. Castillo’s last three losses have come by way of submission.

PREDICTION: Victor Dominquez by submission in the third round.

 

155 lbs.: Alec Williams (1-0) vs. Tolutomi Agunbiade (2-2)

After making a successful debut, Tolutomi Agunbiade dropped his next two fights then rebounded in his last fight with a first round submission. Alec Williams recently won his debut by submission via rear naked choke. Tolutomi gets the edge due to having a really cool name.

PREDICTION: Tolutomi Agunbiade by unanimous decision.

 

125 lbs.: Aaron Gomez (0-0) vs. Johnny Guillen (1-0)

Aaron Gomez is making his professional debut after losing his last amateur fight to Michael Brasher. Johnny Guillen is aiming to keep his record perfect, after beating Joseph Daniel Veloz by submission in the first round.

PREDICTION: Aaron Gomez wins by submission in the second round
