Ray “The Judge” Rodriguez wins decision in XKO 22 main event; Moves on to fight versus Steven Peterson
The XKO 22 main event between Ray Rodriguez and Nelson Salas went as expected, with both guys working hard en route to the decision. Nelson was tough throughout but Ray beat him to the punch more often than not and also landed some timely takedowns to score points. With this win “The Judge” now moves on to his planned bout versus Steven Peterson this July in Legacy FC, a test that should be tough for both.
Next up was Jade De Haas winning a unanimous decision over Alice Yauger to pick up her first win as a pro. It was a solid performance for the Chop Shop MMA rep as she used her kickboxing well to control the exchanges in this bout.
As for the rest of the bouts there we some close fights and others that went fast.
The same for Phat Chau who looked good but ran out of gas and lost by third round stoppage to Isiah Gutierrez in their bout. His NG teammate Brendon Saylar also fought hard but lost a split decision to Houston’s Ryan Hollis in their bout.
Tim Roman also picked up his first pro win by decision over Ramon Jackson while Sean Douglas and Andrew Rosa ended in a draw.
