DALLAS, TX – The Women’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (WBJJ) held their inaugural event March 29th in Dallas. This charity tournament aimed to benefit the Rescue Her Foundation. For those of you that don’t know much about the org, Rescue Her is a non-profit that exists to fight human trafficking. This women’s and girls’ only event was set up to raise fund and awareness. Based on feedback from the event, it was a smashing success.

Over 100 women showed up to compete as well as take part in the silent auction to raise funds to combat the human trafficking pandemic. With so many women and girls victimized on a daily basis all around the world, it’s good to see so many coming together to make a difference.

A terrific finals match pitting Danielle Alvarez against Fabiana Borges was the highlight of the day at the WBJJF South Regional Championship.
