Rising prospect Cameron Graves looks to get one step closer to pro at Cage Combat 15

HOUSTON, TX, September 30, 2013 – At just 20 years of age with 2 amateur MMA fights under his belt, Team Tooke’s Cameron Graves (2-0, 2 finishes) has already established himself as one of the most exciting pro prospects in the Houston area. Not only does the kid have heart, as evident by his two gritty wins over Jose Ceja and Edgar Juarez, but he also a proper blend of striking and submission skills that truly make him a threat to anyone in his division at the amateur level. And if he keeps developing at the same pace, he’ll be a threat to those in the pros soon enough as well.

“I’m passionate about what I do,” says Cameron Graves, already with an eye towards turning pro in the near future.

He says he wants to be the best ever and that he truly enjoys training and competition. It’s in those moments that he finds himself. Training boxing, muay thai, BJJ, and wrestling with pros like Travis Tooke and Andrew Craig on a daily basis is a grind but he knows it will push him to be even greater.

“I train hard every day and am always prepared for a fight. When I think about getting into the cage, the main thought that goes through my mind is that I can’t believe that I get to live my dream.”

Looking ahead to this Friday night at the Humble Civic Center, Cameron Graves will once again be looking to test himself against Edward Longoria. With three wins and two coming by first round TKO, he should make for another aggressive opponent for the Team Tooke product.

“I think it will be an exciting matchup,” says Cameron about Friday night’s fight. “I always bring the fight to my opponent also so it should be fun for the fans. I want to thank my sponsors; Team Tooke, Plex, Conca, and all my family and friends who are coming out to support me. See you all there this Friday!”
