“The Big Show” joins fellow DFW-based fighters in the UFC

DALLAS, TX, September 20, 2013 – Another Dallas area based pro MMA fighter is joining the ranks of the world’s #1 MMA organization. This time it’s Team Takedown’s “Big Show” Jared Rosholt (8-1) getting the call up to sign his UFC contract. The move follows an impressive four fight winning streak for the 3x NCAA All-American wrestler. He most recently competed this past August, winning by impressive knockout over Jason Walraven in Oklahoma’s C3 Fights promotion. Off the heels of that performance he’ll now join teammate Johny Hendricks along with Sean Spencer (Octagon MMA), James Vick (Phalanx MMA), and Edwin Figueroa (Mohler’s) as DFW’s current UFC representatives.

Jared Rosholt’s UFC debut is now planned for The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale, which takes place November 30th in Las Vegas. He’ll be facing off against fellow UFC signee Walter Harris (4-1) in his first UFC bout.

The TUF 18 Finale card is headlined flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson defending his belt against Joseph Benavidez in a rematch of their first title fight at UFC 152 back in September 2012. Other matchups set for the card include Nate Diaz taking on Gray Maynard and of course the TUF 18 men’s and women’s tournament final bouts.
