Naturally Fit Super Show Plays Host To First RCJ Machado Tournament Since 2008
AUSTIN, TX, July 31, 2013 – It was another exciting tournament weekend yet against this past weekend in Austin as the Palmer Event Center played host to the return of RCJ Machado into the BJJ tournament circuit with the Naturally Fit Grappling Games.
As part of the 2013 Naturally Fit Super Show, the Naturally Fit Grappling Games added Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling to an event lineup that also included CrossFit, Bodybuilding, Powerlifting and a host of other health and fitness related activities.
For this first time around, the RCJ Machado tournament featured a competitor list comprised exclusively of 16+ adult brackets only. Carlos Machado and wife Lindsay Thompson-Machado said it was a good way to ‘dip their toes back into the water’ so to speak and ensure quality of service for all the registrants that signed up for the event. With the extra time allotted to the adult brackets they were also able to give grapplers extra matches this time as well.
The group should return with the next RCJ Machado tournament focusing on kids/teens along with charity in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this coming November and December. They also have plans to host another Naturally Fit Grappling Games in 2014 at the next rendition of the Naturally Fit Super Show.
