Ginastica Natural Seminar with Founder Alvaro Romano in San Antonio this Saturday

SAN ANTONIO, TX, September 18, 2012 – The Alamo City Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling community is in for a treat this coming weekend with Ginastica Natural innovator Alvaro Romano coming in to conduct a seminar at the Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy this Saturday, September 22nd.

For those of you that have never heard of Ginastica Natural, it’s style of training influenced by the ground movement of Jiu-Jitsu along with stretching, flexibility and breathing of yoga as well.

The goal of Ginastica Natural is to use the body’s natural movements and body weight to provide a total body of work that enhances physical qualities like strength, flexibility, coordination, and endurance.

Plenty of fighters and top athletes like Andre Galvao, Vitor Belfort, and many others subscribed to this method of training as a valuable addition to their on the mat regimen.

“When you attend a Ginastica Natural seminar you will sweat like you never have before,” said RGJJSA instructor Josh Lauber about what participants should expect at the upcoming seminar.

“I’d say anybody that’s never done this exact style of working out should come and try it. Consider it a challenge. If you think nothing can make you burn anymore than what you’re already doing then you need to come by. He (Romano) always discusses and reveals how his positions work, how to become naturally stronger, and more flexible. His respiration work is unmatched for your recovery when you are spent too. It’s great stuff.”

“There’s no solo workout (px90, insanity, weightlifting, etc.) that will ever benefit and evolve your training like Ginastica Natural. For the Jiu-Jitsu player, it is a marriage made in heaven. When you are doing the movements it is just like the movements you will be doing in Jiu-Jitsu.

Having Alvaro here is always the greatest pleasure and honor. He is a legend. I mean he has trained practically every Brazilian in the UFC! His own pedigree is so deep too. He trained at the Gracie Academy in Rio in the heyday (under Rolls Gracie). He was also the physical conditioning coach for Rickson and Marcello Behring. You shouldn’t miss this chance to train with him, learn some things, and be ready to have some fun!”
