Santos Rosales ( FCFA Paragon)

KILLEEN, TX, July 23, 2012 – Just to recap the rest of the action from around Texas this past weekend, we move to Killeen for ABG Association’s 2nd offering, entitled Cage Wars 2012.

Taking place at the Killeen Convention Center, this event featured two title fights on top of a nine card slate for the fans on hand in Central Texas.

In the ABG welterweight division, Corpus Christi’s Santos “Hollywood” Rosales (FCFA / Paragon) defeated hometown favorite Travis Moore (Twin Wolves) by TKO in the fourth round to win the 170 lbs. title. and his second championship belt overall as an amateur.

Rosales now improves to 5-1 overall after a year out of competition tending to his young family.

Meanwhile in the lightweight division, Killeen-Copperas Cove native Leville Simpson (Twin Wolves) was able to beat Corpus Christi’s Adrian Barrera (FCFA Paragon) by split decision to earn his first title after ten amateur bouts.

With these championship bouts now coming to a conclusion, there’s no confirmation yet as to which of these young fighters plan to turn pro but pre-fight reports did indicate both Twin Wolves contenders Moore and Simpson had designs on making the move along with teammate Colby Adams.

As for the rest of the bouts, all but one ended before the final bell with 4 submissions, 2 TKO’s, and one unanimous decision to complete the night at Cage Wars 2012.
