DALLAS, TX, June 10, 2012 – Justin Miller’s Element Fighting Championship 2 took place last night in downtown Dallas at the Palladium Ballroom.

In the main event of the evening, Abilene’s Brandon Farran was able to take his record to 7-4 overall with an impressive submission victory over veteran Cleburn Walker (9-9) who now drops to .500 after losing his seventh fight in a row. It only took under a minute for Brandon to stop Walker with a guillotine choke in the featured fight of the night.

To date, Brandon’s only gone to the second round once in his career. His last three fights have all ended in wins with a total time of just under three minutes needed to win all three. With yet another exciting performance, Brandon may be a prospect to watch out for in the near future.

Speaking of which, two interesting prospects clashed in the co-main event of the evening with Kalvin Hackney taking on Rusk, TX native Booker Arthur.

By all accounts this was a tough, hard fought battle between the two Bellator vets. The two traded back and forth for all three rounds but in the end, the Louisiana native Hackney was able to take the decision over the 21 year old Texan to bring his record to 12-3 and break a two fight losing streak.

Elsewhere on the card, Fitness Fight Factory’s up-and-coming welterweight Evan Cutts was able was able to bring his undefeated record up to five wins in a row with a quick submission victory over Aaron Culpepper in round one.

Likewise, Tristan Grimsley also came out of this event with a win to bring his record to 2-1 overall. It only took 28 seconds for him to take his opponent’s back and pick up the rear-naked choke in this one.
