XKO 15 Recap – Matt Thompson scores huge victory over Jake Rosholt; Chas Skelly stays unbeaten

ARLINGTON, TX, June 4, 2012 – Xtreme Knockout concluded their fifteenth show with XKO 15 this past weekend at the Gym facility in Arlington.

This show had seven fights in total to go along with special appearances but UFC hall of famer Randy “The Natural” Couture and rising welterweight contender Johny Hendricks.

The main event of the evening featured another UFC vet in Arlington-based Jake Rosholt, a 4x NCAA wrestling champion at Oklahoma State University. A sizeable favorite over Austin’s Matt Thompson headed into the contest Rosholt would come out strong and dominate the early going. Resilient as ever, Matt would withstand the blitzkrieg assault from the Team Takedown member and work eventually secure a knee bar / calf slicer that got him the upset victory while Rosholt lay in agony with an apparent knee injury.

Elsewhere on the evening, undefeated Chas Skelly – also of Team Takedown – was able to up his record to an impressive 8 wins with 0 losses following his impressive first round submission victory over another Austin-based fighter in Bellator vet Jeremy Myers.

Also scoring impressive finishes on the night were Hayward Charles, Chris Feist, and Klayton Mai.

– Klayton Mai over Sidney Cawdrey by submission, RD1.
– Joseph Salas over Casey Hudson by unanimous decision.
