The Ultimate Fighter season 14 Finale – Full Fight Card and Quick Predictions

December 1, 2011 – With last night’s remaining semifinals now in the books after Diego Brandao and John Dodson finished Bryan Caraway and our Texas’ own Johnny Bedford respectively, the table has now been set for this Saturday’s The Ultimate Fighter season 14 Finale, set to air this Saturday night LIVE from the Pearl at The Palms in Las Vegas.

For the first time even in fourteen seasons of The Ultimate Fighter, the two coaches will go at it on the same show as the final contestants when Jason “Mayhem” Miller returns to the octagon for the first time since GSP in 2005 to face his blue team counterpart Michael “The Count” Bisping.

Also featured on the card in non-TUF action is what should be an entertaining scrap between Texan thugjitsu master Yves Edwards and TUF 13 season winner Tony Ferguson. With this bout, Yves is looking to make it two in a row after taking out Rafaello Oliveira at UFC Live in Washington D.C. this past October. Ferguson may present a tough challenge after having won his past fight straight bouts and 2 in the octagon but look for Yves to be no man’s stepping stone as he also has an impressive streak of winning 4 out of his last fight 5 fights.

Deciding this season’s winner at featherweight will be the always-exciting Diego Brandao taking on New York native Dennis Bermundez. Faithful viewers this season have witnessed “Cerea” Brandao runnigng roughshod over the competition to get to this point and he doesn’t seek to stop now. Meanwhile, Bermudez had a rougher road to the finale after getting knocked down twice by Akira Corassani in the semifinals before putting out the victory.

At bantamweight, John “The Magician” Dodson will also be looking for a TUF-win against T.J. Dillashaw. Labeled as “the snitch” this season, Dodson is otherwise an exciting dynamic fighter and will likely look to make waves at flyweight (125) when the UFC introduces that division whether he wins this Saturday or not. That won’t stop him from trying to take this season though. Meanwhile, the 25 year old Dillashaw was one of the more highly-touted fighters going into this season and he made it to the finals as expected. Despite his hype though, T.J. has only had 4 professional fights prior to making it to TUF so look for him to continue working in order to show that that hype is real. It goes without saying that a win over Dodson would go a long way towards validating that status.

Rounding out the televised card on SPIKE will be “Brutal” Johnny Bedford out of Fitness Fight Factory out in Colleyville, TX. He’ll be taking on New Yorker Louis Gaudinot as he seeks to make his own way towards a multi-fight UFC contract of his own.
