October 5, 2011 – The episode opens up with Team Mayhem having a little bit of fun at practice with waffle bats while Michael Bisping and crew are at it in the parking lot taking the wheels of Miller’s car, assumedly to get him back for their tire prank on the last episode, “since he likes tires so match.” Great plug for Dodge Charger and a laugh from Mayhem.

“I thought it was pretty clever,” Mayhem says. “I gave him tires so he gave me tires. Hats off to him,” he said in between calling him a limey bastard.

We’re back in the cage now with Bisping playing to role of serious coach as he readies his team. It looks like a pretty hard sparring session. Marcus Brimage and Akira Corassani are going all out in the cage with Akira getting frustrated and Marcus subsequently getting into it with Diego Brandao also getting heated and telling Marcus he might knock him out.

“He’s try to destroy me but I’m going to do that to him. I’m not going to be the &#*$* that’s going to f***** die.”

Marcus responds by talking about his Alabama upbringing and walking out.

Diego is one mean son of a bitch. He doesn’t look like he’s going to step down one bit this season.

Cue the first commercial break.

We come back to Akira of Team Bisping doing butt flops into the pool and being “that guy at the party.” There’s always a guy on every season like him – the TUF goofball. But this time he seems like he’s got a little bit of ka-razy to go along with with his karate or whatever he’s working with.

Cue the house pranks and on to the fight announcement.

Low and behold, Mayhem calls on TEXAS powerhouse Johnny Bedford to take on Josh Ferguson of the blue team.

Josh holds up a sign that says “F- you Bedford,” not very smart if you ask me.

“Johnny always has a fire in his eyes,” said Mayhem. “That thing went nuclear atomic.”

On to the Team Mayhem training session and Johnny is looking pretty mean. In fact, his whole team looks serious and training hard while Bedford laments an injury to his right hand suffered in the fight to get into the house. No worries though, he’s still confident heading into this one.

Cue second commercial break.

We come back to Josh Ferguson training in the cage and talking about being the underdog and the fact that he likes being underestimated. He’s doing drills on the mitts with Bisping. “I ain’t no bitch,” he says.

We’re back into the house and Dustin Neace is pissed off at all the pranks by Akira. Looks like sparks are about to fly. He walks back to the kitchen, grabs the rice, and dumps it all over Akira’s bed.

Now there’s an altercation. Akira is pissed and confronts Dustin while he’s on the bunk bed. “I’m picking you Monday,” Dustin says. “I’m picking YOU,” says Akira. And they talk shit like a bunch of two year olds. See what happens with pranks? Everybody’s mad now.

Cue third commercial break and a UFC 136 promo. (looks like a good time in HOUSTON this weekend!)

We’re back and John “The Magician” Dodson gets some airtime. He talks about how his two best friends on the show are on the other team but he’s hanging out with them anyway. They call themselves Team Leprechaun.

Cue spygate part two with Dodson letting Team Bisping know that Johnny’s right hand is hurt.

Now it’s fight day and Johnny is talking about how he and his family had to go dirt poor for him to keep fighting and end up with this shot. Both fighters are talking about a bonus and $25,000 being able to do a lot as they walk into the cage.

They walk in to the cage. It’s on!

…after the commercial break, that is.

Johnny Bedford, Team Mayhem (17-9-1) vs. Josh Ferguson, Team Bisping (7-3)

The first round starts with a quick exchange. Ferguson with some quick punches there. Johnny goes in to clinch. Josh tries for a quick guillotine but Johnny controlling with double-underhooks and get the takedown. Some quick ground and pound there and we’re back on the feet.

Both guys are cautious and measuring distance. Spinning back kick attempt by Bedford catches air and we’re back to jabs. Good 1-2 combo by Johnny and he gets the clinch again. Knees by Johnny and he has Ferguson on the fence. He’s working wrist control and now back for more knees. They separate and Josh circles out to the center of the cage. Johnny with the Thai plumb and he takes Ferguson down against the cage again. This time he passes to side control and is working on stepping over the head. Now he’s got a kimura grip in north-south and transitions into an armbar. Josh gets out and is on top briefly before they’re back on their geet with Josh threatening a guillotine. Doesn’t look close though.

Johnny separates and they’re back to center. Duck-under and Johnny takes his back with ten seconds left. Bedford may have been able to try for the RNC but doesn’t want to burn out his arms as time runs out.

Second round starts with the two trading punches in the middle of the cage. Johnny throwing hooks with bad intentions. Josh a little more tentative, darting in and out to score. Johnny closes and gets an overhook that leads into a trip takedown. He’s in Josh’s closed guard and moving to pass. Half-butterfly now by Josh but he’s not doing anything with it. Josh tries for a guillotine and gets passed. Now back in hald guard with Johnny on top throwing some short elbows as he works to pass.

Josh gets up and tries a flying knee! It doesn’t work though and Johnny with the BIG slam and into side control. More short elbows by Johnny onto Ferguson’s forehead. Josh looks like he’s tiring but recovers half guard. Johnny now postured on top and delivering some vicious elbows down at a weakening Ferguson as round two ends.

Johnny “Brutal” Bedford wins a convincing decision over a Scrappy Ferguson to move on the semifinals!

The coaches now have words leaving the cage area after the fight while Miller talks about how proud he is of Johnny Bedford and how he wants to beat up Michael Bisping as the show ends.
