HOUSTON, TX, July 25, 2011 – The Legacy Amateur Series returns to Houston’s House of Blues this Friday for it’s latest installment. The Series will showcase top up-and-coming talent from in and around the Houston area and beyond.
Two Legacy Amateur Titles will be on the line this Friday in a dual main event.
In the first, Guilherme Moreira of Team Tooke will do battle with Kevin Thomas of 4OZ Fight Club for the amateur welterweight title. Levi West was originally scheduled to fight Thomas for the strap but a hand injury forced him out of the bout. His teammate Moreira now steps in for what is sure to be an exciting bout.
In the co-main event feature, Kristy Kester of 4OZ Fight Club / Team Bailout takes on Monica Earnshaw of Bushi Ban for the inaugural Legacy Women’s Amateur Title at 125. The two formidable ladies are both stepping off impressive wins versus Jordan Gaza and Tina Gomez respectively so look for this one to be an absolute barnburner.
