Superfight News – Sequiera out, Macaco IN against Jeff Messina tomorrow in Houston!

HOUSTON, TX, July 8, 2011 – It was previously announced earlier today that Alejando Siquiera of Gracie Barra Champions Forrest has been ruled out tomorrow’s planned instructor superfight with Jeff Messina at the Houston Grand Prix Jiu Jitsu Championship, set for Humble High School starting at about 9:30AM. With that news, it was feared that no superfights at all would take place and Messina would instead spend his day (and all of tonight) eating up a storm at restaurants all over Houston in order to regain all the weight he had lost in preparation for the event.

Alas, Jeff may still be eating well but to put on weight for a different reason as none other than Jorge “Macaco” Pacino of Gold Team Texas has stepped in to replace Siqueira against the 2010 Pan Am bronze medalist! For those of you are yet unfamiliar with Macaco, we suggest searching YouTube for his legendary MMA fights with heavy-handed Brazilian Jose “Pele” Landi Jons or searching the Texas Grappling Channel for further proof of his skills on the mats here in the Lonestar State. With multiple stripes and many years of experience as a top-level black belt competitor, looking for this open weight superfight to be more exciting than ever!

This Houston Grand Prix Jiu Jitsu Championship Superfight Event kicks off at high noon tomorrow. For more information on the event, check out www.grandprixgrappling.com.
