Cage Combat 4 – Sneak Peak at July 1st Event

May 17, 2011 – Eric Garcia and the Garcia Promotions crew will be back in Humble on July 1st for Cage Combat 4, the latest installment of their popular amateur series. If it’s anything like their last one (recap and pictures here), fans should expect another exciting night of action in North Houston.

Headlining the card this time around will be not one, but two title fights in the lighter divisions as both the flyweight and the lightweight titles will be on the line featuring competitors recently showcased here in Houston.

In the first, Manny Lozoya (who recently won the Legacy Amateur 135 title) will be taking on Jacob Silva in an exciting matchup at 125. With “el Animal” Lozoya recently besting Silva’s Silverback teammate David Armas to win the aforementioned Legacy title, the fire academy’s pride and joy Jacob will surely be headed into this bout looking to reclaim a win for the SFC crew.

In the second of the night’s title fights, Chris Lopez and Cris Rucker will be battling it out for the Garcia Promotions lightweight title. Both men come into this bout with victories at the last Cage Combat event just a few weeks ago and with the notoriety of being two of the more highly touted up-and-coming lightweight amateurs in the Houston area as well.

Also on the card will be recent winners Randy McCullough and Andrew Musquiz, along with what I believe will be the debut of Corrine Zepeda, who will be taking on an opponent to be determined to bolster the growing ranks of female fighters to take to the cages of Houston as of late.

As always, the fight card is subject to change, especially being over a month away but here is a sneak peak of what Garcia Promotions has coming up.
