On November 4 there will be a grappling tournament hosted by Travis Tooke (Gracie Barra Black Belt) at the Reliant in Houston. The superfights include Marcelo Gracia, Mike Fowler, Rafael Lovato Jr., Vincinius \”Pezao\” Magalhaes (there are rumors of many other BJJ blackbelts coming in from Brazil and the US to compete-names cannot be listed now).
There will also be an eight man tournament including Bill \”the Grill\” Cooper, Hector Munoz, and others.
There will be divisions for all competitors, including kids, gi and no-gi.
Brian Cimmins, President of Grappler Quest, will be on hand to see things through. There are several sponsors giving items away to winners (Gameness, INTOCOMBAT, ONTHEMAT.COM, etc.).
THIS IS THE FIRST NATIONALLY RATED EVENT IN TEXAS (wwww.grapplingratins.com).
We plan on making this a once a year event, each year adding more and more superfights and grappling champions. THIS EVENT IS FEATURED IN ADDCC NEWS.
