Saturday July 27th is the date that area full-contact kickboxing fans have been waiting for! The event is “The Showdown at The Ranch”…NACSO’s first-ever championship “qualifier”. The purpose of the qualifiers is to apply accurate rankings to the fighters in each weight division within the organization. NACSO is planning as many as two more qualifiers for this year, with all events pointing towards an ultimate night of championship bouts slated for the first quarter of 2003.
The Southfork event already has16 bouts scheduled, with the possibility of as many as 3 more (depending upon competitor comittments). “Showdown at The Ranch” will begin at 7pm in the ‘Oil Barron’s Ballroom’ at Southfork Ranch. In addition to the bouts, former boxing and kickboxing World Champion Troy Dorsey will be on-hand to sign autographs, along with champions Santae Wilson and Doyle Gayler. T-shirts will be on sale at the event, along with delicious treats and beverages and, of course, beautiful ring-card girls.This is a “can’t-miss” event which will feature fighters from a number of martial-arts studios in the DFW area.
